About the Artist
David Shrigley is a Scottish artist who has come to prominence through his drawings, publications, and sculptural works. His drawings have a kind of throwaway beauty peopled as they are with monster children, idiots, aliens, bad parents and full of twisted lists and exchanges. Shrigley's artist's books act as an index of his angst about modern living, his disappointments, and his cynicism.
