About the Artist
Echo Park Pottery is affiliated with Artist Peter Shire. Peter Shire was one of the founders of the Memphis - Milano movement of the 1980's. He created most of the ceramics of the movement and worked with Artist Nathalie Du Pasquier amongst others. Shire only opens his studio twice a year, so we are thrilled to be able to offer you some of his work. These splatter painted mugs use Shire's bold shapes and form and his striking contrast of colours. The shape is reminiscent of the Memphis movement.
